  Obituary	Mr. Jackie Vernon Lawrence, age 74, of Brodhead, husband of Doris, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Baptist Health Richmond. Jackie was born May 14, 1945 in Brodhead, KY to the late Herbert and Mae Elizabeth (Brumett) Lawrence. He married Doris Reynolds on July 17, 1965, and from that union came two sons: Anthony Wayne and Glenn Allen. He worked at Brodhead School for 20 years, attended Providence Church of Christ, enjoyed gardening, history, watching UK Wildcats, “American Pickers”, and Westerns. Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 54 years: Doris Lawrence; two sons: Anthony Wayne (Darla) Lawrence of Berea, KY, and Glenn Allen (Imogene) Lawrence, of Barbourville, KY; one granddaughter: Amanda Marie Lawrence; two brothers: Charles (Lois) Lawrence of Brodhead, KY; and Bobby (Lorene) Lawrence of Brodhead, KY; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Lawrence, Eula Lawrence; and one sister: Evaline (Ronald) Reynolds of Eubank, KY. Besides his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by four brothers: Herbert Ray, Richard, Eugene, and an infant brother; two sisters: Margie Dean Blanton, and Wanda Smith; and one sister-in-law: Betty Lawrence. Visitation for Jackie Vernon Lawrence will take place Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 11am until time for the funeral at 1pm with Bros. Danny McKibben and Robbie Cable officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Services will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Casket bearers will be Randy Reynolds, Teddy Lawrence, Larry Lawrence, Dennis Lawrence, Monroe Barnett, and David Burton.
